Associate Director

Light IQ is a London based award winning international lighting design consultancy. We design innovative, exciting and inspirational lighting schemes for both residential and commercial projects worldwide.

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director who will be responsible for managing, developing and leading our world class team of designers.  The candidate will have strong business acumen and be involved in the development and growth of the design office.  The ideal candidate should have the ambition to be a Director and duties will include:

  • Inspiring clients and winning new projects;
  • Highly adept at managing and inspiring a team of designers;
  • Managing team workloads and projects;
  • Proactive in marketing Light IQ including lecturing and networking;
  • Provide strategic support and advice to the directors on issues relating to the growth and development of the business;
  • Ability to manage client expectations and meet deadlines;
  • Managing internal and external multi-disciplinary project teams and resources;
  • In depth knowledge of lighting standards and regulations.

 

This role would be perfect for someone with a passion for lighting and ability to deliver the exceptional.  You will work on many high profile, lifestyle lighting projects from our busy Kings Cross office, be responsible for managing a diverse team of designers and expected to travel regularly to sites in the UK and internationally.

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

  • 15+ years experience as a lighting designer;
  • 5+ years experience at a senior level in both residential and commercial projects;
  • Proven track record in winning new projects;
  • Management experience;
  • Team leadership:
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent references (if required).

Sales Administration

Light IQ is a London based award winning international lighting design consultancy. We design innovative, exciting and inspirational lighting schemes for both residential and commercial projects in the UK and abroad.

We are looking for a qualified Sales Administrator to join our West London office. In this role you will support our lighting designers generating product orders for projects and serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about products, orders and deliveries.  

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Process lighting specifications from lighting designers to create orders;
  • Work closely with our suppliers to check the accuracy of specifications and orders;
  • Communicate with clients to obtain missing information, answer queries, process payments and confirm orders;
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries;
  • Develop a strong technical knowledge of lighting and stay up to date with new products and technologies;
  • Build strong sales relationships with clients;
  • Maintain and present monthly sales reports.

This role would be perfect for someone with a passion for design, sales and customer service.  You will work closely with our lighting designers which may involve occasional travel to sites in both the UK and internationally. 

Ideally you will have the following skills sets and experience:

  • Work experience as a Sales Administrator;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of NetSuite;
  • Comfortable working in a technical sales role;
  • Previous experience of working in the lighting industry;
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
