Burberry Flagship

Piccadilly, London

Burberry renovates their Regent Street flagship store.

The brand has occupied this formerly 1930's theatre for more than a decade. The new interior design featured an installation of curtains along the perimeter walls and selected features of the former theatre architecture.

The result is a soft backdrop that serves as the perfect stage for the display of the merchandise. The new lighting installation comprised of track and spotlights, with an additional uplight component to boost the ambient lighting levels. Linear lighting details were added to the store joinery and shelving, to provide focus on the products displayed.

The renovation took less than 3 months to complete and the fast turnaround of both design and light fixtures was paramount for the success of the project. The simple but effective lighting strategy - to treat the "theatre of displays" as a gallery or exhibition room was efficiently implemented by the contractor and electrical team within the timeframes and thus not delaying the opening.
