Light IQ worked closely with Norton Ellis Architects and Boyle Construction to assist in the transformation of a 1970’s mews house, set in the heart of Knightsbridge into a stylish modern home.
The ground floor is open plan with a generous double height living space flooded with daylight through generous, beautifully executed skylights. The first and second floors are linked to the rest of the house by a new cantilevered steel stair and gallery, with a laser cut balustrade. This stunning addition sits lightly in the space as it wraps around the double height gallery and floats with concealed illumination. A new second floor extension provides a glass walled family room with sliding doors to the stunning roof terrace. The clients were brave in their choices and have personalised the space with large funky neons, stunning art and cool architectural detail creating a wonderfully unique home.
