Zaha Hadid Architects creates a beautiful home in the beach of Jersey Island.
This beautiful home was one of the last residential projects of the late Zaha Hadid.
The interior architecture department, led by Kar Hwa-Ho, focused on transforming the orthogonal architecture into a fluid succession of forms and volumes. The central staircase features a custom ceiling detail, mimicking ripples of water, that can be seen from the main entrance ramp and glass wall.
The lighting had to be discreetly integrated into every cove (which included ceiling and floors) to provide a soft glow to the curvilinear architecture of Zaha Hadid.
The stunning swimming pool is one of the main features of the house, with a striking continuous line of light at both surface and low level, which defines the volumes of water after dark.
