Space Copenhagen designs a beautiful hotel inside the iconic East London tower by SOM.

Light IQ was brought on board to design the lighting for all the public spaces and amenities in the hotel. The clean, serene and cosy interiors by the Danish designers provided the perfect backdrop for wam and soft lighting.

The language of Space Copenhagen - in terms of lighting design, is simple: a carefully selected collection of decorative lighting that is complemented by architectural coves and ultra-discreet accent lighting.

The result is a visually comfortable experience, maximising exposure to the stunning materials and textures selected by Space Copenhagen throughout.

The exterior of the tower by SOM, at ground level, was illuminated in key areas like the entrance and terrace, where architectural details were integrated to provide a warm glow at low level. The main access door of the hotel features a fibre optic installation that adds interest to the guest experience after dark.
