A luxury 'bacherlor's pad' in the heart of Santa Monica.

Designed by COLAB in Los Angeles, this small residential project in Santa Monica features a significant, rare fossil that deserved museum-like lighting. The T-Rex head is softly illuminated from the top and bottom of the display cabinet, by using LED panels. Accents from the sides come from the discreet recessed downlights, which highlight the piece when the panels are not illuminated, creating a more intimate effect.

The silver bar has concealed lighting details around the shelving and counter, which make it glow beautifully in warm white, thus giving the impression it is finished in gold.
A mixture of discreet architectural details and simple, sculptural decorative luminaires comprise the palette of fixtures. The overall result is extremely intimate and luxurious, as requested by the client.
