Zoe Deffert Architects transforms this stunning country house in Somerset.

A stunning Grade 2 listed home set deep into the Cornish countryside brought to life by Zoe Deffert Architects, photographed by Simon Kennedy. This was our second collaboration with both Zoe and the client. A wonderful opportunity to create a family home centred around their unique art collection.

The simple lighting design approach matches the serene interior design throughout the house. Where possible, discreet surface mounted light fixtures were introduced to accent the artwork and selected pieces of furniture, as it was not possible to recess into the listed ceilings.

The decorative lighting palette plays a significant role in this project, where an eclectic collection of luminaires was carefully selected for each room, to supplement the decor and provide enough ambient lighting.
